Mealtimes shouldn’t be FRUSTRATING.
Yet for many parents, they are.
Whether your child has trouble feeding themselves, gags on their food or is a picky eater, you can find yourself worn out and at a total loss, wondering if you are doing something wrong.
You want your child’s development to be on track
You want your child to eat well and go to sleep full
You want your child to enjoy a variety of healthy foods
And more than that:
You want mealtimes to be an enjoyable, bonding experience for the family.
No more tantrums.
No more food on the floor.
No more distracting, pleading or bribing.
You wish someone could help.
That’s exactly what we do at Feeding Therapy NY.
For over 9 years we’ve been working with babies and children who have difficulty eating. From newborns who refuse to nurse, to 10-year-olds who refuse to eat. Whether the problem is physical or behavioral, we identify the root cause and develop an individualized plan of action.
Our specialized approach uses a combination of oral motor exercises, sensory play and parenting techniques to work through the issues so that your child will eat well, and enjoy their food too.
Successful Feeding Therapy requires a team approach:
Let’s work together to make mealtimes a pleasure!

I had trouble getting my daughter to eat anything. And if she did eat, it wouldn’t usually stay down – she would gag and throw it up. I felt helpless, frustrated and lost.”
“My daughter was having difficulty chewing and swallowing certain foods. We started therapy, hoping it would improve her ability to eat a variety of foods. Sheva is extremely knowledgeable and helpful, always offering good suggestions. She’s also very receptive to my daughter’s needs. The therapy has really improved my daughter’s speech, chewing and swallowing. She now tolerates more foods and I have a better understanding of what mealtime should look like.

“The therapist has been wonderful with my child. Very sweet, loving, and calm. She follows my daughter’s lead, letting her feel like she’s in control.”

“Mealtime used to be the most stressful time of my day. I tried googling how to cook better and get my kids to eat, but nothing worked. Until we hired Sheva. It’s been six months now and thanks to Sheva’s insightful, smart advice, our children sit at the table, eat their food and even thank me for the delicious dinner! We couldn’t be happier!”
Elana S. Flatbush
“My baby was 2 weeks old and nursing was so painful. My pediatrician told me it was normal, but I knew something was wrong. I was determined to find someone who could help me… Sheva showed me that my baby had a tongue and lip tie. She referred me to a doctor who specializes in fixing tongue ties. I couldn’t believe how fast the procedure was. Since then I’ve been nursing without pain and my baby is thriving.”
